On August 30th Greyson turned one month old! We can't believe it's already been a month! It has flown by, but you can definitely tell he is getting bigger. He has almost outgrown his newborn clothes, and he is fitting into most of his 0-3 month outfits. Of course, since he is our child, the 0-3 month clothes are a little long on him :)
He isn't a huge fan of having his picture taken, but as you can see he is showing how smart he is--yes honey, one month does equal 4 weeks! (Thanks Kendra for the super cute month stickers!)
Greyson is starting to stay awake during most of the day and also, unfortunately for us, his favorite time to be awake is from about 9-11 p.m. when Jared and I would like to go to bed! He has started to sleep a little longer though, and we are so thankful for that! He usually sleeps about 4-5 hours after his last evening feeding, and will wake up once during the middle of the night again to eat.
He loves to throw his hands in the air. Also, whenever he is up and at 'em and you are holding him, he LOVES to bob his head back and forth. He thinks it's pretty great to throw that head around! You have to watch out though because he is so strong! He busted my lip about a week ago, and another time he and I head-butted and neither of us enjoyed that experience...He has also finally started to smile at us while awake, and it just melts my heart! He is such a sweet, happy baby, and we are so lucky that he is a relatively easy baby too.
At his one month check up, he weighed in at 10.05 pounds, and he is 21.5 inches long. His pediatrician said that he is perfectly healthy and right on schedule for his age. His eyes are still dark blue, so we shall see if they continue to stay that color. It's crazy to me that I might have a blue eyed child!
Grey is going to go on his first road trip this weekend to Wichita Falls, so I will report back on how that goes. I am so excited for him to meet his great-grandparents! Nanny, Pappaw, and Mema are so excited and looking forward to meeting their great-grandson!
