Pictures for Days!

Jared and I have become a little obsessive compulsive about taking Greyson's picture. We went from people who never touched the camera to people who can't seem to put it down! I won't bore you all with the random shots of Grey sleeping (which I have quite a few), but here are some of our recent favorites! He is getting so big!

These are my favorite! Greyson smiles in his sleep, and it is the cutest thing I've ever seen!

So I lied, here is a sleeping pic, but it shows how big he is getting!

Minnie is still so curious about Greyson. She has to check him out everytime he makes a noise. I think he must be her "puppy!" haha

Greyson's Great-Grandmother (Nanny) bought him the cutest little blanket and hat set.

And, last but not least, Greyson rolled over! We're pretty sure it was a fluke, but it still counts! Of course we didn't get it on video, but we have the before and after shots!

Greyson's New Friends!

Greyson has such great friends and family! His Aunt Aria and Uncle Chris came over to play and brought us dinner! Thanks Gollners! We appreciate it so much!

A Busy Week!

The Petkoff's have had a very busy week! We have had lots of visitors, we have been out and about to show off our little guy, and he and I made our first solo trip.

First things first, Greyson "watched" his first Cowboys game! Of course his Daddy couldn't possibly allow him to watch the game without the appropriate gear, so he bought him some outfits to make sure he began his life as a Cowboys fan in proper fashion! (Obviously you can see he is super excited as evidenced by the fist pump!)

On Saturday, Kendra came down with Kohen and Kresee to meet Greyson. Unfortunately (or fortunately) Greyson slept the entire time they were here! He's not much of a host yet, but we're working on our social skills! :) We are so glad they came down, it was great to see them!

Later that evening, his Aunt Morgen and Uncle Carl came over to meet Greyson and they brought us dinner! Love them! I'm a bad blogger though and I didn't take a single picture! I have got to step it up in that area!

On Sunday, we went over to GG and Pop's house (DiOnetta and Jimmy)so that Greyson could meet his "Aunt," "Uncle," cousins and a few friends. But, before we could leave the house, we had to give Greyson an emergency bath...If you're guessing that he managed to pee on himself and Jared and I, not once, but 3 times, you would be correct! There is just something about the fresh air that makes him feel free! Haha! (When he's older he will hate me for posting this, but it's just too cute! I added a little patch to protect his modesty!)

Kannon and Kolson were very excited to meet their new cousin! They picked out presents for him, and Kannon even promised to give him a heifer! haha I can't wait for him to get a little older so that he can visit the cows and horses at their house. It will definitely be a case of the city kid meets the country kids! Jared and I won't be much help in terms of teaching him about those things, so we are very glad to have family that can!

In other news, Greyson is growing so much every day! It is crazy how we can put him to bed at night and when we wake up I swear he is bigger the next morning! He hasn't quite made it out of the newborn clothes yet, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing! :) He is also starting to stay awake longer in the morning and in the late evenings. I'm glad he wakes up at night so that Jared can play with him. I think he misses him during the day, because he makes a beeline to Greyson when he gets home at night!

Greyson and I also made our first solo trip to the grocery store, just the two of us. (Again no pictures! Sorry about that!) It was quite the event, and I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous. Luckily he took it easy on his poor Mom and slept the entire time, so we made it back relatively unscathed. There might have been a moment where I wasn't quite so sure how the carseat was supposed to fit into the cart, but a very nice lady helped us out, so we didn't look like total newbies!

Check back soon for updates! I will work on the picture taking!

Welcome Home Greyson!

Introducing William Greyson Petkoff!

Greyson arrived on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 7:53 a.m. weighing 8 lbs. 3 oz. and measuring 20 3/4 inches long.

It started out as a very early day for Jared and I! I think they were just preparing us for the lack of sleep to come! We had to be at the hospital for the c section at 5:30 a.m. to get ready for the 7:30 a.m. surgery. I was a little nervous about the surgery, but it went really well, and Greyson and I are doing great! I am also very proud of Jared! He's a little squimish when it comes to blood, but he handled it like a champ, and he is turning into such a great Daddy!

Greyson had so many great friends and family members at the hospital to welcome him to the world, as well as gifts from friends who couldn't be there. We can't wait for him to meet everyone!

We are already learning so much about our little man! He is such an active baby! From day 1 he was already picking his head up off of my chest and a few days later he was attempting to roll over in the hospital crib! So, of course, Jared and I have decided he must be extremely intelligent, agile, and advanced for his age! haha His very favorite thing in the world is to free his hands from his swaddle. It's like a game, and when he gets them free he raises both hands above his head like an Olympic medal winner!

So far, knock on wood, he is a great baby! He sleeps in between feedings at night, so I feel pretty lucky that Jared and I are actually getting to sleep a little bit. We have also been very fortunate to have both of Greyson's Grandmothers here to help us out along the way with our random questions, laundry, and meals. It is going to be hard to adjust to doing all of this by myself in the next few days, but Greyson and I will figure it out! :)

Here are some random pictures from the hospital and his arrival home, along with Jared's 31st Birthday with his favorite present!
