End of an Era...tear

Grey loved his first and last hostess cupcake! He's still never had a Twinkie so we're keeping an eye out for one. He's gotta have at least one in his lifetime!

Petkoff for President in 2045!

We get a little excited about Election Day in our family.  I can vividly remember going to vote with both my Mom and Dad when I was little.  They made sure to impress upon all three of us that voting was important, and that we should always participate in making our country a better place.  So, I was SO EXCITED to take Greyson to vote with me this year!

Here he is all geared up and ready to go!

We had to stand in a pretty long line before we got up to the front, but Grey was so good! I think he was fascinated by all of the people.

When we finally made it up to the table to get our ballot, the sweet lady who was working there stopped us and said, "Excuse me sir, there is no campaigning inside the polling place!" Ha You gotta love a little Election Day humor! :)  After all was said and done, Grey and I both got the much coveted "I voted" sticker.  He was so excited to get a sticker!  He kept pulling his shirt down and pointing to it and saying, "I got sticker!" He also told everybody that he "Voted for Pessident". I LOVE THAT!

Here we both are with our stickers! (Terrible photo, but it was the best I could do at the time!)

I'm so excited for him to understand more and more about voting in this great land of ours as the years go on! "We" were also pretty happy with the result....:)

Halloween 2012

Greyson LOVED Halloween this year!!  It was so much fun for the whole family!
His Nana surprised him and came down to go trick-or-treating with our little lion, but first there were treats to be had!  I made cupcakes and he was almost more excited about the cupcakes than he was going door to door for candy!
After dinner, Jared and I got him all ready for the big reveal! He was a little timid to come out with and show everyone, but we had been practicing his roar, so he eventually got up the courage!
As you can see he had quite the entourage! Nana, GG, Daddy, Mommy, and Uncle Tom all came along for the big event while Pops stayed back at our house to hand out candy.  Everyone took turns taking Grey up to each door.
He had so much fun!  He would say "trick treat!" and then he would roar really loud and then say "thank you!" It was so cute!!

We managed to get a family photo, but we couldn't get Grey to smile because he was too busy staying in character with all the roaring.  SO funny!

Needless to say, he can't wait to do it all over again next year!
