13 Months

Greyson is 13 months old! Yea! And when we say "Yea!" he still claps! I love it!

As he keeps growing bigger and bigger, he is starting to development the funniest little personality! At 13 months, he is toddling around with the best of them, and on any given day, he has a new bruise on his little noggin. The boy has no fear, and somehow manages to land head first 9 times out of 10.

He is growing like weed! Now he is wearing 12-18 months clothing. It's so funny because his torso is SO long, but his little legs are a wee bit short :) Sorry kid! So, because of this, he is spanning a few sizes. In general, he is only able to wear 18 month onesies, but he can still wear all of his 12 month separates (shirts, shorts, pants, etc.).

Also, in terms of clothing, since he is a walker now, he has some new kicks! He is wearing a 4.5-5 size shoe. In the beginning, he was NOT a fan of the shoes! He would cry when we put them on him, and when you put him down to walk, he would sit down and have a mini-tantrum until he realized that he could walk with those weird things on his feet. Now, he doesn't mind at all, just as long as you put them on fast enough because he wants to move faster than we can work to throw clothes on him!

Speaking of needing to move, Greyson is quickly becoming an impatient little guy who apparently has things to do, right now dang it! He can't stand to sit long enough to have his diaper changed. Which means that his Daddy and I have become masters of distraction and speedy diaper changing! Other things that make him a little mad, are when he is eating and you don't give him the next bite fast enough. Also, when you don't pick him up IMMEDIATELY when he decides he wants that! haha This new phase cracks us up at times, and really wears us out at times, but luckily, he is still for the most part, our laid back, easy going Grey.

In other news, he is a big boy these days and is no longer using his toddler tub. He still LOVES bath time, and these are a few pictures from a recent bath.

Since we have finally had a reprieve from the 100 degree weather we endured all summer long, Greyson is finally able to experience the great outdoors on a regular basis. He is so fascinated with being outside. He gets so excited, and wants out all the time! When he is outside, he walks laps back and forth from the edge of the patio to the back door where he needs to bang on it, proclaiming the awesomeness of the outdoors to anyone still in the house.

Another thing that he loves to do outside is pick our weeds! haha Already putting him to work! It's really funny! He walks to the edge of the patio, and pulls up the weeds, inspects them, rips them in half, and then brings them to me. He still isn't too sure about actually getting into the grass though. I have tried to sit him out in it, but he just sits there and won't budge. I think he isn't too fond of the crunchy texture.

The only downside to discovering the outdoors, is that he wants to be outside ALL THE TIME now! He bangs on the door, and is super jealous when Minnie gets to go out to potty and he isn't allowed to follow her. Talk about a tantrum! Wow!

Also, this month with school starting back up, Grey went back to his babysitter, Terri. He really likes to play with all the other kids, and gets excited every morning to grab his lunchbox as we are headed out the door.

Unfortunately, he is starting to notice when I leave him at Terri's. The good news is that he doesn't notice every day, and when he does notice, he is completely fine as soon as I leave. I am so lucky that he loves Terri and the kids so much! It is a blessing that we found her before he was born!

Finally, since he is such a big kid, he of course needs to sit on the couch with all the grownups. You could take away all of his toys, and just as long as he can sit with you on the couch, he is a happy baby (er, big kid!).
